Some of my favorite soccer websites

In the spring 1996 I first coached (with the help of Robin Duthie) a U-12 boys soccer team in the competitive Mid-Michigan Youth Soccer League.  This was a youth team for the newly developed Mt. Pleasant Soccer Club.  (Bill Saltarelli recruited me as an Òassistant coachÓ.  Thanks, Bill! J) Shortly after that, my oldest son, Alex, and I both became certified to referee soccer.  Later Tim and Jan became certified referees, while Alex, Tim and Daniel played in competitive leagues.

In the ten years since then, IÕve learned a great deal about this incredible sport!  My wife, Jan, and I both have an ÒEÓ license as soccer coaches; Alex is a grade 6 USSF referee while I am grade 7.  WeÕve coached, refereed and played soccer in Michigan, Illinois, Colorado and Virginia!  And now our daughter-in-law is a soccer referee!

Much of the best soccer material is now online.  Here are some of my favorite links.
