Hobbies and Personal Interests
I am married to Janet S. Smith, CPA; we have three children: Alex, Timothy, and Daniel and a daughter-in-law, Sierra (married to Alex.)
Jan, Daniel, and I have two dogs, White Sox (Aussie shepherd – collie mix) and Sirocco (purebred shelty). (See the family photos for pictures of our dogs.) We have recently lost our longtime purebred Aussie shepherd, Chinook, who lived to be 16. Chinook is seen in many of these photos.
I am an ordained elder in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
I am a soccer coach in the U. S. Soccer Federation with an "E" coaching license. I also am a USSF certified soccer referee.
In addition to soccer and traveling, I enjoy an occasional chess game (although I am not nearly as good as I used to be!)
